This picture could certainly speak a million words. My grandparents--Michael and Mary Roche from County Limerick. I've written about them in the past in essay form and in my memoir, The Drunkard's Son. I love this photo. The two of them are about my age now. Gotta love the priest with the old school collar in the background, as well as the guy preparing to shove a cancer stick in his mouth. Good stuff. I'll come back to this photo again some time.
